CCIM Institute is an international professional commercial real estate (CRE) organization with nearly 14,000 members providing professional development/continuing education and conferring the CCIM designation. An extensive international chapter network provides members with local connections and serves as a key delivery channel for courses. CCIM has a staff of 45+ and annual operating budget of nearly $15m. Also, CEO of CCIM Technologies, a $3m technology company that provides tools used by CRE professionals and board member of the CCIM Foundation.


  • COVID Response:
    • FY 2020 $758k net operating income, and $1.86m net income with no PPP or other stimulus support. 
    • Moved 100% on-line for education delivery and added 60 new course offerings by April 1,2020 to ensure candidates could continue the path toward earning their designation.
    • Provided $770k+ emergency funding to CCIM Chapters to keep them operational in the early days of the pandemic.
    • Created new content for members and their clients to deal with the COVID disruption.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
    • Inaugural recipient of the Association Forum Welcoming Environment® Award.
    • “Work Force of the Future” initiative to increase DE&I in the CRE industry.
    • Foundation DE&I Initiative to support underrepresented individuals in CRE.
  • Consistently exceed budgeted operating surplus targets, while driving strategic investment in new courses, products and member benefits and year over year growth of CCIM’s continuing education student count and revenue.
  • Significantly increased the public policy profile, engagement, and influence of the organization.
  • Enacted an international strategy to guide the organization’s global expansion.

TMA is an international association of professionals that work to save distressed businesses. It has 8,300+ members, operates a European subsidiary, and oversees the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) and Certified Turnaround Analyst (CTA) designations. It has 17 staff and an annual operating budget of $5m, and an enterprise-wide value of more than $10m.


  • Reversed revenue decline, improved operating results and brought strategic rigor to budgeting and planning.
  • Orchestrated a cultural and operational revitalization and turnaround.
  • Delivered international membership growth and launched seven new international chapters.
  • Created the TMA NextGen Leadership Meeting, launched TMA NOW (Network of Women) and created the first ever LGBTQ networking receptions at conferences. 
  • Created the TMA Institute to deliver online and in-person professional development.
  • Transitioned TMA’s North American certification program from a subjective process to one that is objective, psychometrically valid.
  • Launched the European Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals.

ACG is an international professional association with 14,000 members and includes professionals from private equity firms, corporations and lenders that invest in middle-market companies, as well as from law, accounting, investment banking and other firms that provide advisory services.

  • Supported chapter recruitment efforts that achieved annual membership growth during the “Great Recession” and achieved an all-time membership high of 13,709.
  • Developed and implemented strategic marketing efforts for ACG InterGrowth® that delivered record attendance and exceeded budget revenue targets (15% in 2010 and 12% in 2011).
  • Directly responsible for $431k in additional, unbudgeted revenue in FY 2011 through event registration, sponsorship, and new program development.
  • Developed and deployed a comprehensive public policy and external relations initiative.
  • Improved the relationship between ACG Global and chapters
  • Reorganized PR efforts and transitioned focus away from ACG as an organization to the achievements of the individual members and the firms they represent.

  • Nationally recognized for creating an innovative Web 2.0 social media strategy including the launch of a digital magazine, blog, YouTube® channel and Facebook® and LinkedIn® groups.
  • Developed integrated marketing campaigns that generated record attendance at the Forum Annual Meeting and Holiday Showcase®, sold out exhibit space at Holiday Showcase and increased sponsorship sales.
  • Led the successful effort to update the Illinois General Not for Profit Act. 
  • Supported the Forum’s Diversity Imitative, a program designed to foster the careers of underrepresented segments of the membership and mentored a Forum Diversity Scholar.
